“To do this requires great listening skills and the ability to break through all kinds of barriers together. Qadishti and their Seekers must establish a strong bond of trust. This requires soul searching honesty and a rare kind of objectivity. The Seekers tell us what they are looking for and it is always something more than just sex. Sometimes we have to establish protective boundaries for the people involved. It’s definitely a rewarding challenge to help others grow via psychosexual methods” – DT

Qadishti – Based on an ancient Mesopotamian tradition, modern Qadishti are those that recognize their sexuality as a sacred and powerful way of connecting to the divine, self and others in a mutually beneficial way. They are dedicated to engaging in sacred encounters through a variety of modalities and healing methodologies (Tantra, Taosim, Sex Magick, Sacred Touch, etc.)

Qadishtu (female) and Qadesh (male)

“Qadishti – to me this is what you do, it’s not about the history, it’s not about politics, it’s about action and helping others, no matter who they are; it’s helping them to feel a part of a whole that they may have lost. Its about life, it’s about healing, it’s about compassion, it’s about love but unconditional love and yes in all that process, it’s also about tears, struggles and obstacles overcome” – a

Sacred Touch is serving others through touch that expresses the divine that is within us all. Reaching for my inner goddess and acting with unconditional love and acceptance to help others find their own potential, worthiness and love which resides within. Sometimes it can be healing, sometimes it can be connecting, sometimes it can be sexual. It can take on many forms from simply looking a stranger in the eye, smiling, and fully acknowledging them as another human, or it can extend into sacred sex, utilizing all of our senses and bodily abilities to heal and connect with another – and many variations in between.

“Qadishti is love. Eros, Amour…love is a universal entity and one of the things that has existed as long as there has been human emotion. Unconditional love is healing, powerful. There are many ways we can use our Qadishti eyes, our Qadishti touch. Anything from looking people in the eyes and smiling at them to the experiences of sensual touch and physical intimacy.

A Qadishti sees past the outside masks we all wear and into the hearts and souls of others. Seeing the beauty that lies within and finding a way to embrace it”. – K

Karuna
“My idea of Karuna, the name I give to this sexual energy, is complex. I believe Karuna flows from the divine feminine to nurture, heal, comfort, procreate, give pleasure and love. It has roots in Motherhood, caritas, and the primal sexual instinct. Qadishti use energy fueled “compassionate action” in their work. Call sexual energy what you will, but my perspective is that both men and women have this female-generated Karuna in varying degrees. There is plenty of hard scientific research to back some of these ideas up, but the truest test of any belief is results. See what you can accomplish using divine energy” – David T
